Preparing The Driveway For Repairs
First we need to prepare the driveway for repairs.
It is simply a matter of thoroughly cleaning the damaged repair area and
ensuring that it does not allow dust, debris, plants, water or anything else
that will mix the cleaning materials with the existing dump. This is especially
important for alligator asphalt.
1.Remove dirt and dust:
Using a hard-shaking broom, simply sweep the area or its surroundings for
repairs If you do not have a hard-shaking broom around the garage, a broom
should work properly. You can usually find a cheap broom at the local hardware
store or you can always pick up a professional grade broom from us and get
everything in one place to make things easier.
Also if
you decide to use water (from a hose or a pressure washer), you want to make
sure the area is completely dry before making repairs. Remember, the problem
with using water is that it will penetrate the asphalt cracks and there is no
way to avoid moisture if you keep the cracks. This can cause problems on the
road. So, if you decide to use water, we recommend using this method only on
hot days and wait at least 24 hours before applying any ingredients.
2.Plant Removal:
If you are on a tight budget and lie around a triangle shaped garden, you can
probably use the sharp angular tip to get rid of the plant from the cracks that
you will probably see in the alligator asphalt or wide cracks. Simply stick the
angled part of the crack and pull towards you. Repeat until the plants are
finished. This tool should work very well for holes or sinkholes. Garden
foliage is usually a thin material and probably can’t stand for work. All you
have to look for is a thick steel triangle that will take a beating against the
hard damk driveway. If you are the type of person who always wants to go out
and buy the best money, we can usually sell you a professional grade crack ho,
which is usually made with the advice of a heavier fee than the garden hook.
Also if
you are the type who likes to play with fire then we have only one tool for
you. For about $100, we sell a tool that spreads a blazing hot flame and roasts
the plant in seconds. Our Asphalt Crack Torch runs on top of standard propane
and is also great for drying wet spots or melting snow around the pothole area.
If you’re more into budgeting and just want to draw the basics, that’s fine
too. Our heat flame crack torch is not absolutely necessary but you can pay for
it in the long run with several large driveways or lots of plants.
